As promised, Mr Stargazer’s second tour is now in swing. First off, you can entertain yourself with his interview on the Gal (link)—there, he talks about books (who’d have thought?), writing, and general philosophising. Check it out. Really: you might learn something.

In addition to this escapade, Mr Stargazer will also release a guest post at To the Point. (Now you know why you spent all those sleepless nights forlornly awaiting Stargazian antics; but, you see, Mr Stargazer is ever so busy...)

Going into march, the reviewers will have another stab at Mr Stargazer’s books. Hopefully, they shall take kindly; if not, Mr Stargazer tells me he has grown quite adroit in the art of ‘Necromancy’. (Oh—wait—that’s not good...)

Alas, exams await yours truly. Perhaps you’ll finally get a good, long essay on education. Mr Stargazer does seem terribly displeased—or, at least, that’s what ‘Gove-governed bastard bureaucrats’ and assorted colourful adjectives would have you believe. Methinks he’s just cross. He never did like math, did poor Alex.

Blog Tour v2

Hail Readers!

Mr Stargazer’s first blog tour is officially over. Here’s what people have said:

As you may be able to guess, Mr Stargazer’s tour has gone rather well; and so to build upon his success, there will be a blog tour version two.

This time round, there will be even more reviews. If our darling Mr Stargazer gets his way, the blogosphere will be indundated with praise; and if he doesn’t, well... (ominous growl—musn’t make Alex cross, you see; he can be ever so temperemental—oh no, he’s growling louder now and—CRUNCH)

In any case, I have announcements to make.

The Sequel, and Other Difficult Matters

A sequel for the Necromancer has been requested by the reviewers; however, I myself am feeling less than disposed towards the proposition. This is not due to any fault of the Deathbringer itself, though; rather, I feel there are greater tales in need of telling.

But do not despair! Even if the Deathbringer remains but an inchoate fragment of my imagination—and that’s no sure thing—there will be something else. Something... different, perhaps; but undeniably more compelling.

I shall present the verdict soon. Until then, consider my poetry...

Stargazian Poetry

Aside from my immodest use of adjectives (I’m quite the neologian, eh?) my poetry is also in need of some renewal. It’s been terribly long since I’ve unleashed the powers of the imagination.

On the plus side, I have been able to contemplate my achievements (and lament at my failures); I see, now, the poems that strike deeply. Although the finer points of my works have been lost to memory’s frugal domain, the greater aspects are revealed by hindsight—the language which worked; the language which rang hollow and empty. I see the motifs that brought definition, and the details that derailed from purpose.

In short: I am ready for more. Stick with me. I’ll be back soon...

Behold! The Master is Back

Hail, oh reader! I—Alex Stargazer—am back; and I’ve got a lot to announce, so stick with.

What Ya Been Doin’, Alex?

I’ve been in Bavaria. If that (for whatever reason) don’t ring any bells, it’s because it’s a part of Germany. The southern end, to be more specific. It’s quite interesting, really: it has a distinct subculture with, for example, unique architecture featuring a lot of wood, big houses, fireplaces...

Basically, it’s everything you’d expect of the quintessential European mountain country. It’s even got great sausages (don’t get me started...) and even has a wine growing region or two.

Most importantly for the burgeoning tourist, however, is the snow. I’m glad to say there was plenty of it, even if it did come a little late.

But: let us move on. You don’t read this to learn about German curiosities, do you? (Psst: they do nude. Watch out!)

Moving On...

Aside from surreptitiously peeking at unfortunate German guys, Mr Stargazer has also been busy setting up a blog tour.

Courtesy must, of course, be given to Sage Adderley: her no doubt tireless efforts will help bring the Necromancer to several blogs in the upcoming 8 weeks. To start off, there will be an interview tomorrow on Book Adventures with Emily. Since I am a possessive old soul, I shall be hosting this interview with myself here too—but don’t worry: she asks the questions!

In addition to this, I—ever the determined writer—have written a report on my business situation... and marketing efforts. The report will not be released to the general public (that’s you, in case you were wondering); but expect to see a few posts outlining my experiences—both firsthand and through other writer friends—on all things promotional in this strange world.

Finishing Off

‘Alex—aren’t you a bit rambly today? And don’t you have another essay to bore us with, or something?’ I hear you ask.

Fear not: I will a have an essay to bore you with soon. I’ll also have poetry awaiting, so you can self-reflect on how sad you all are :)
