Where to Meet... Neshvetal
Neshvetal is on Facebook believe it or not. There, he talks about death (of course), magic (duh) and philosophical what-not. If you find it... slightly disturbing—that’s the point. He does, after all, turn people in undead slaves; if bunnies and unicorns are your thing... are you sure you read it?
Neshvetal’s tale is also on Goodreads. There, you get to see what other people think. (Whisper: Mr Stargazer doesn’t like nasty reviews. Make sure to denounce those from the heave—MOVE ALONG FOLKS.)
Maps, and Stuff
Here’s the Map of Arachadia:
Map Copyright 2014 Christian Stiehl.
Now, some explanation (if you haven’t figured it out already):
The Northern Mountains start north of Hest. It is, however, impractical to cover that big chunk of map with mountains; so they only appear to be north-west. Don’t be fooled.
The werewoods are full of shapeshifters—or furry bastards, as a certain character will be calling them...
The Farmer Villages are not ‘villages’ by any stretch of the imagination. They were, once; but now they form what is best described as a sprawling metropolis. Indeed, they possess the greatest population of the Arachadian cities, and are a major economic powerhouse. (Hint: they farm stuff.)
Devlan and Heflan are large, heavily guarded port cities. They’re not particularly relevant to the narrative.
Neshar, the Border Town is a heavily guarded fort city (you seeing a pattern here?)
Sacharian’s gate is a fortress; so’s Ogar Nestricht. They are the largest castles, and tasked with one very simple command: keep the Sacharians OUT.
The cities south of Neshar are part of The Southern Desert. You’ll learn more about ’em later.
The Peaks of the Lost Souls have a surprise in store...
Also, take a look at my own reference map. (Pro tip: this is why you outsource.)
